• I love Laurence’s yoga classes as they are challenging, inspiring, relaxing and fun all at the same time. I find them a perfect combination of vinyasa flow and traditional hatha postures. I look forward to the session each week and really feel like I have progressed in my own practice as a result of Laurence’s guidance.

  • One of my students is unable to attend classes a the moment. The only way we practice is via Skype. Chanting, breathing, stretching, relaxing. Despite some technical hiccups to start with, we’ve been thrilled by the result.

    Here is her comment:

    A busy work schedule sometimes makes it impossible for me to attend yoga practice with Laurence. As yoga has now become an integral part of my life, I was intrigued when she suggested “yoga-by-skype”. It works brilliantly and is great fun.

  • When I started taking Laurence’s class I had no idea the impact yoga would have on me. I was suffering from tennis elbow and a pain in my hip and physiotherapy hadn’t helped. Within a month or so of doing yoga the pain had all but disappeared and now, over a year on, there is no sign of it at all. I find the class hard work but also get a sense of peace and a clearer head. Laurence’s teaching style is lovely and she encourages without being too pushy. I’ve taken to annoying my friends by preaching about the benefits of yoga. I feel healthier in body and in spirit and I wouldn’t give it up now for anything. Thanks Laurence.

    Voilà, on est 5 a la maison ! Ca fait un moment car Zak est né le 9 Janvier. Ca fait longtemps que je veux t’écrire, pour te remercier car je suis persuadée que sa naissance a été beaucoup influencée par tes enseignements. J’ai perdu les eaux sans beaucoup de contractions et, évidemment, au JR ils voulaient  déclencher. Je suis restée une nuit là-bas, avec une “induction” prévue à 7 heures du matin du 9. Je ne suis pas arrivée à dormir et à 3 am j’ai eu un déclic mental et j’ai commencé à bouger partout dans l’hôpital. Basically j’ai rocked my pelvis ‘till I was blue in the face, breathed and meditated et voilà..pas de déclenchement! Une fois le vrai travail commencé, Zak est né une heure et demi plus tard, avec beaucoup de sounding et zero pain relief!

    Sans toi, Becky Walden et mindfulness meditation je crois que je n’aurais jamais pu faire ça…surtout le passage mental pendant la nuit pour éviter le déclenchement et la capacité de faire beacoup de ‘bon’ bruit au bon moment. Donc, un grand merci à toi!

    Here we are five in the house! It’s been a while as Zak was born on the 9th of January. It’s been some time since I wanted to write to you to thank you, as I’m convinced that his birth has been influenced by your teachings. My waters broke without many contractions, and obviously at the JR they wanted to induce me. I spent the night over there, with an induction planned for 7 am in the morning of the 9th. I didn’t manage to go to sleep and by 3 am, I had a mental switch et I started to move all round the hospital. Basically I rocked my pelvis ‘till I was blue in the face, breathed and meditated and there we are… no induction! Once labour had started, Zak was born one hour and a half later with lots of sounding et zero pain relief!

     

    Without you, Becky Walden and mindfulness meditation, I believe I could never had done that… especially the mental switch during the night to avoid induction and the ability to make a lot of “good” noise at the right time. So a big thank you!

     

  • I really enjoyed the workshop (even the challenging bits!) although I did ache the next day…
    Once I got the hang of it, I particularly enjoyed the shoulder stands.
    Personally I’d like to do a calming the mind workshop, but as you’ve done that, how about stretching or flexibility?
