Thank you to McCormick’s students. Since October 5th, we’ve been practicing every Monday night in their Allspice room. Brainstorming room in the day, Yoga room at night: what a good use of space.
Tonight we had a short chat about Yoga. We sat up after relaxation, I explained how I started and why I began teaching after twelve years of casual practice.
Some people come after work and others go back to work just after the class for their night shift.
I think more companies should offer a space to their employees to practice Yoga . The teacher gets a set group of determined students every week. Where each student saves time and money thanks to an on-site and affordable class.

For most people Yoga is simply a means of maintaining health and well-being in an increasingly stressful society.
Asanas (postures) remove the physical discomfort accumulated during a day at the office sitting in a chair (or in a car!), or hunched over a desk.
Relaxation techniques help maximise the effectiveness of ever-diminishing time off. In an age of mobile phones, beepers and twenty-four hour shopping, yogic practices make great personal and even business sense.

On October 5th I started a new course at the McCormick spice factory, Haddenham.
A dozen staff decided to give it a go once a week for four weeks. Hopefully they’ll like it and will join for another few weeks.
The class takes place in one of the company’s meeting rooms. I bring a few spare mats, blankets and straps. Some people bring their own and I run the hour practice.
It’s been organised to allow people to join a class just after work and for a very reasonnable fee.
For corporate sessions, I need a minimum of 8 participants.
